August 2, 2025 – School Supply Donations and Document Shredding

Published by Webmaster on

Koko Marina Center conducted the Donate & Shred event on August 2. The public was invited to donate school supplies or cash and documents for free shredding service provided by Access Records Management Services, and E-Waste disposal by T&N Computer Recycling Services.

The Hawaii Kai Lions Club and friends directed traffic, removed documents from cars, and collected and sorted donations. The event was well attended by the public, filling a truck full of shredded documents and a pallet of E-Waste. We collected several boxes of school supplies and several hundred dollars in donations, which were transferred to Helping Hands Hawaii to distribute to those in need. A few Hawaii Kai Lions club members also stopped by to drop off donations and documents.

HI93 radio station provided entertainment with DJ Steezy, including a group dance with our club members, which has become an annual source of fun and embarrassment as most of us were far out of step.
