August 8 – 9, 2025 – American Heart Association Health Fair & Walk

On Friday, August 8, 2025, volunteers began preparations for the Annual Heart Walk and Health Fair. Two Hawaii Kai Lions assisted with preparations, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm, with setting up tables and banners, as well as preparing over 3000 bananas for distribution the next day. On August 9, 2025, at 5:30 am, eight more Hawaii Kai Lions reported to Jefferson Elementary School and Waikiki Elementary School to assist with parking for the event. Over 3000 participants had the option to walk/run around Diamond Head and Kapiolani Park and also enjoy visiting the various tents and booths for educational information and health screenings. Parking lots were emptied by 11:30 am and the Lions were all treated to a delicious lunch provided by Stortos Deli & Sandwich Shop.
