September 13, 2025 – Adopt-A-Highway Project
A good-sized group of 17 volunteers worked to clean Kalanianaole Highway from Keahole St. to Hanauma Bay. Twenty-four trash bags of litter were collected and several large items were identified for pick-up by the State DOT (flat screen TV, car fender, wood/ boards). The upper route heading towards the bay was especially littered with broken glass, piles of trash, and a possible campsite under the overpass. However, it was also the most “profitable” route as two $5 bills were found. Thanks to all who participated as it made the work go faster.
