Hawaii Kai Lions District 50 - Club Number 14324

October 3, 2025 – Kamiloiki Elementary School’s Traffic Awareness Sign Waving Project

Published by Webmaster on

On October 3, 2025, eight Hawaii Kai Lions and one CIS participated in the traffic awareness sign waving event at Kamiloiki Elementary School from 7:15 a.m. to 8:15 a.m.  Also participating were four HPD officers and a dozen student council members and JPOs.

The morning started out with a light misting of rain and soon cleared for a beautiful day of blue skies and gentle winds.  The students held handmade signs and HPD provided several signs; some of which said, “Drive Safely, Arrive Alive”, “Texting Can Wait” and “Drive With Aloha”.

Thank you to those Lions who participated.  It was a great opportunity for our Lions to be a part of this traffic awareness/safe driving program, and to support our schools and the Community Policing Team of District 7 East Honolulu.
