October 24, 2025 – 2nd Annual Pumpkin Palooza
On October 24, 2025, nine Lions, one CIS, and one volunteer helped with the 2nd Annual Koko Head Complex Pumpkin Palooza hosted by the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR). Lions were tasked with registration, check-in, and handing out goodie bags that were put together by the DPR staff. Families came early and checked-in from 08:15 am. Those who did not register on-line were given forms to fill out and sign. About 100 children came. The kids were given blank passports with nine boxes to collect stamps from each activity. After finishing, they brought the passports to the check-in table. Lions handed out one goodie bag per passport. Those children who completed all activities were entered into a drawing for grand prizes. The DPR director was very thankful for the Lions’ participation.
