April 1, 2026 – Sight Is Beautiful Poster Contest

Each year, the Hawaii Kai Lions Club coordinates the Sight Is Beautiful Poster Contest for the three elementary schools (Hahaione, Kamiloiki, and Koko Head) in Hawaii Kai. This is a statewide contest and sponsored by the District 50 Lions of Hawaii. Rules are that the poster must contain only the words “Sight Is Beautiful”, not computer generated, and no paste-on items.
Judging was held on February 19, 2026 at the Lunalilo Home Clubhouse, with the top four posters from each grade and school winning a certificate and gift cards worth $20 for 1st place, $15 for 2nd place, $10 for 3rd place, and $5 for 4th place. The first place winners from each grade and school, then competed against each other, with the top winners going on to the Zone for further judging between clubs within the Zone. Three posters from Hawaii Kai made that cut and will be forwarded to the District for final judging.
Here are some of the winning posters which went to the Zone.
