July 25, 2026 – Koko Marina Drive-thru Shred & Recycle
On July 25, 2026, the Hawaii Kai Lions participated in a drive-through school supply donation, paper shredding, and e-waste recycling event at Koko Marina Center. This annual event is in partnership with Helping Hands Hawaii, Access Shredding, T&N Computer Recycling Services, the Hawaii Kai Lions and the Koko Marina Center to benefit schools and to help target where paper and e-waste are disposed of.
Sixteen participating Hawaii Kai Lions helped keep traffic flowing safely and smoothly, including efficient unloading of community members’ donations and e-waste materials, and sorting the donated school supplies. Pending official counts, there were well over 130 cars passing through, with about 15 large bins of paper being shredded, and several full pallets of e-waste hauled away.
Adding to the fun and rhythm of the event, Koko Marina Center arranged for the sounds of HI93 FM and DJ Steezy making for a beautiful morning filled with positive vibes as we served in our community.
