August 22, 2026 – Special Olympics Aukake Classic Bocce Tournament
On August 22, 2026, seven Hawaii Kai Lions officiated the Bocce Ball Games at the Special Olympics Tournament held at the Wai’au District Park, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There were 28 courts, where for each court there were two volunteers, two teams of two, two coaches, and one referee, with a total of 60 volunteers helping the approximately 600 participants. This was a wonderful event to attend, as you could see the happy faces of the participants as they played bocce throughout the day.
