August 8, 2026 – Kaiser High School Project Grad Night Market
On August 8, 2026, the Hawaii Kai Lions Club assisted in setting up tables, chairs, tents, and lighting at the Kaiser High School parking lot for Kaiser’s Class of 2027’s Project Grad Night Market. There were over 50 vendors selling food and assorted items, with entertainment provided by two Kaiser alumni. The proceeds from this event is to support the Kaiser Class of 2027 Project Grad.
One of the Lion’s tents, set up for this event, was purchased in memory of Hawaii Kai Lion Mino Takaesu, who passed away earlier this year. His wife Patsy donated a generous amount of funds to the club, and in turn, the club purchased a 10′ X 20′ tent with the Lions logo on it and included an acknowledgement to Lion Mino. (See picture below.) Thank you to Lion Mino for his years of service with the Lions and to his wife, Mrs. Patsy Takaesu, for her generous donation!
