January 24, 2026 – D50 Lions Food Drive
The Hawaii Kai Lions and Kaiser High School Leos came out in force and joined Lions from other Oahu clubs to support the D50 Food and Lions in Sight Eyeglass Collection Drives at the State Capitol on Saturday, January 24, 2026. The weather cooperated with a cool overcast morning which made it comfortable for everyone. Several members from the West Honolulu Rotary Club also joined the Lions, as well as the Moanalua High School Leos.
We collected over $2,400 and 300 pounds of food, with coverage of the food and eyeglass collection drives seen on the KHON2 Saturday night news. There was also a “Shaka” segment at the end of the Monday night’s news.
