July 18, 2026 – HUGS Memorial Garden Cleanup

On July 18, 2026, seven Hawaii Kai Lions traveled to Oahu’s North Shore to assist in cleaning up the HUGS (Help, Understanding, and Group Support) Memorial Garden. HUGS serves Hawaii’s seriously ill children and their families; and to support the families after the passing of their child, a memorial garden was created where they can plant a tree and have a peaceful place to visit and commemorate their child. The Lions spent the morning weeding, digging, and watering the garden, which is in a forest, high above the sea.

Thank you, Hawaii Kai Lions, for all of your hard work!
