June 25, 2026 – Hahaione Elementary School Classroom Painting Project
On June 18, 22, 23, and 25, 2026, the Hawaii Kai Lions, Hahaione staff and parents painted three fifth-grade classrooms. It started with the Lions purchasing all the necessary supplies and organizing the logistics to ensure this project would run like a well-oiled machine. Next, the Lions prepped the rooms by patching up imperfections, sanding the walls, and taping the borders and trim to guarantee a professional finish. The real fun began on the last two days, when everyone pitched in to apply fresh coats of paint to the three classrooms, which instantly brightened up the spaces. So now when the new school year begins, the fifth graders at Hahaione School will be in for a big surprise upon entering their newly painted classrooms!
