March 3, 2026 – Kamiloiki Elementary School’s Traffic Awareness Event
On March 3, 2026, ten Hawaii Kai Lions participated in the traffic awareness sign waving event at Kamiloiki Elementary School from 7:15 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. Also participating were four HPD officers and ten student council members and JPOs.
The morning started out with a rainbow greeting us as we started to situate ourselves on the sidewalks. The hour of sign waving went by quickly as hundreds of cars drove by the school on Hawaii Kai Drive. Several of the drivers acknowledged the Lions and students by waving back, showing the shaka sign, or honking their horns.
