November 18, 2025 – Adopt-A-Highway Project
On November 18, 2025, an experienced and efficient team of Hawaii Kai Lions trash-gatherers spent a Tuesday morning helping to beautify Kalanianaole Highway from Koko Marina Shopping Center to Keahole St. In addition to six bags of trash, a flat-screen tv was tagged, and a possible abandoned vehicle was identified and reported. A hole in a cement block (possibly a utility cover) on the sidewalk by Portlock Road was also reported as a pedestrian/biker safety concern. Hopefully, the roadway will stay clean and the hole patched in time for the Kaiwi Coast Run/Walk coming up later in the week.
