On October 2, 2025, five Hawaii Kai Lions were honored with Life Memberships to the Lions Club International.  To qualify for a Life Membership, the Lion must have 15 years of active membership and reach the age of 70 years young, or 20 years of active membership with no minimum age requirement.  This Lion must have rendered outstanding service to our club, our community, and/or the Lions Association.  With this membership, the Lion will no longer have to submit annual International dues.

The following Lions are our club’s newest Life Members:

Richard Halverson (20 years of service)

Helen Morita (19 years of service)

Ronald Goong (18 years of service)

Edward Lee (18 years of service)

Cynthia Chun (17 years of service)

Presenters were Jeanne Alices, Alvin Hayashibara, and Ken Nishibun; photographer was Spencer Kimura.

On behalf of the Lions Club International and the Hawaii Kai Lions Club, we appreciate the new Life Members many years of service.  Thank you and congratulations!
